AIA/ALA Announce 2021 Library Building Award Winners
The American Institute of Architects and the American Library Association selected five winning projects in the United States.

Today, The American Institute of Architects and the American Library Association announced the 2021 AIA/ALA Library Building Awards winners, honoring five libraries in the United States that exemplify "design achievement, including a sense of place, purpose, ecology, environmental sustainability, and of history," according to an AIA press release.

The jury for the 2021 ALA/ALA Library Building Awards comprised chair Elaine Molinar, AIA, Snøhetta in New York; Teri Canada, AIA, Evoke Studio Architecture in Durham, N.C.; Jennie West, AIA, Studio West in New Orleans; Sarah Meilleur, Calgary Public Library in Calgary, Alberta; Sharon Bostick, SLB Planning in Chicago; and Kris Johnson, Montana State University in Bozeman, Mont.
